About — Come & Behold

A Revival of
Biblical Womanhood

“We envision a new era: a revival of biblical womanhood in theological education, forming women deeply in Scripture, awakening them to their callings, and sending them forth with the wisdom of Christ into homes, churches, and the nations — preparing the Bride of Christ.”

How We Teach

Three pillars that shape our approach
Orthodoxy

Biblical — grounded in the authority of Scripture

Orthopraxy

Spirit-Empowered — theology lived out in practice

Orthopathy

Gendered Lens — attending to the feminine experience

Core Values

Hebrew for strength, valor, army, wealth, capability — from Proverbs 31’s “woman of valor”

  • Connection
  • Humility
  • Adoration
  • Yielding
  • Integrity
  • Love
Pronunciation khah’-yil חָיִל

Chayil appears over 200 times in the Hebrew Bible. The word most often describes armies, warriors, and men of fighting ability — yet remarkably, Scripture applies this same term to women.

The phrase eshet chayil (“woman of valor”) appears in Ruth 3:11, Proverbs 12:4, and Proverbs 31:10, using identical language to its male equivalent gibor chayil, which describes Boaz himself (Ruth 2:1).

Ruth — a destitute Moabite widow gleaning in fields — is the only woman in Scripture explicitly called an eshet chayil by name, demonstrating that valor is not defined by status or circumstance, but by courage, loyalty, and faithful action.

The same word describes God’s own mighty deeds:

“The right hand of the LORD does valiantly [chayil]” (Psalm 118:15–16)

“Through God we shall do valiantly [chayil]” (Psalm 60:12)

Thus chayil spans the full biblical witness — from heaven’s armies (Daniel 4:35) to a foreign widow in Bethlehem — affirming that true strength flows from dependence on the Lord and is expressed through courageous faithfulness in any calling.

Three Uniques

01

Recovery of Lost Voices

We employ a semantic and pragmatic translation approach that recovers the feminine voice in Scripture — often obscured by translation choices — without sacrificing the original meaning.

02

Biblical Feminine Anthropology

We pursue the study of womanhood from a deeply biblical perspective — exploring, restoring, and recovering what Scripture reveals about women as image-bearers of God.

03

Unoffendably Connected

We focus on reconstruction rather than deconstruction — building women up in truth while remaining graciously connected across theological differences.
